The Fort Carson Legal Aid Office is available to all soldiers, dependents and retirees. Services include willing, powers of attorney, name changes and step-adoptions. The firm also advises in various areas of law, including landlord and tenant law, military administration, family law and consumer law. The office is open from 09:00 to 1530 (Monday to Friday). Appointments are made on the last working day of the week from 09:00. The office is closed on days without scheduled activities (DONSA), afternoons during payroll activities, and all federal holidays. The Legal Aid Office offers a video information session on divorce and separation, followed by a general question and answer session on Monday and Wednesday at 930 a.m. and Thursday at 2 p.m. The Legal Aid Office of the Judge Advocate (JAG) in Fort Carson is located on Mekong Street in Building 6222.
