The fortress is very well guarded, but if you act methodically, you can quietly eliminate all the guards. Of course, if you want, you can decide if you want to start a fight. Oswald awaits you with his brothers Finnr and Valdis near the main fortress of the Clansmen of Rued, Dunwic. The allies discuss the plan and assign themselves the appropriate tasks. You must eliminate about fifteen enemies that are in the fortress. If you want to go to the fortress more discreetly, you can use a secret entrance. After eliminating the members of Rued`s clan, turn on the charcoal bin located at one of the corners. There are two ways to adopt them. You can either confront them head-on and eliminate them in a big battle, go like a real Viking or the Assassins` Route and take the secret entrance on the right side of the bridge. Inside, most clan members can be killed secretly, as they are usually separated from each other. The key is located near an elite clan. You can secretly kill the guy at first while he looks at a few notes. You must defeat the members of rued`s clan in a nearby fortress.
When you get to the fort, you can do one of two things: get into blazing axes or secretly eliminate enemies. We walked in blazing axes because Eivor is a Viking after all. There are about a dozen enemies inside – use your crow to discover them and make your way through the fortress, picking up each of them. Traditional Arab society, based on clans, firmly adheres to the concept of collective responsibility. Bedouins recognize two main forms of punishment for a crime against a limb. These are blood revenge, called qisas (قصا, “revenge”) and blood money, Diyya (دية, “blood money”/”ransom”). In cases of serious crimes such as murder and rape, revenge by blood is the forbidden punishment. When a murder occurs, the victim`s clan members have the right to kill the murderer or one of the male members of his or her clan with impunity. Some crimes are responsible for several acts of revenge, for example, the murder of women and children is avenged four times. Crimes considered treacherous, such as the murder of a guest, are also avenged four times.
“A Triumphant Return” is one of AC Valhalla`s longest missions that makes it difficult for players. Immediately after the successful completion of “The Measure of a Scandinavian”, it takes place in East Anglia. This search requires Eivor`s help to find an unknown Rued spy and eliminate the corrupt members of the Rued clan. Now your goal is to eliminate each of the members of Rued`s clan in the fort. Similar practices took place in the People`s Republic of China during the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s. A striking example is Deng Pufang, who was arrested and tortured by the Red Guards when his father Deng Xiaoping was purged of Mao Zedong. In the Soviet Union, during Joseph Stalin`s Great Purge in the 1930s, several thousand people were imprisoned in the Gulag as “relatives of the enemies of the people,” based on the clause on the oppression of family members of traitors to the homeland. A well-known example is Anna Larina, the wife of Nikolai Bukharin, who was imprisoned after her husband was accused of treason. Decree NKVD No. 00689, signed in 1938, annulled some of the most extreme measures, so that only spouses who were informed of their partner`s political activities were arrested. After a few opportunities for dialogue, Oswald and the rest of Eivor`s allies will travel to Dunwic to talk to Rued`s leaders. Alternatively, a crime punishable by bloody revenge can be commuted to a severe fine if the offended party`s family agrees.
Blood money is paid jointly by the offending member`s clan to the victim member`s clan. Bedouins distinguish between crimes for which the group must pay as a permanent obligation without compensation from the perpetrator of the crime, and crimes for which the latter must compensate them. The crimes for which the clan is required to pay joint expenses without reimbursement are murder, violent assault or insult, and other crimes committed during a violent conflict. The collective payment of fines for such infringements is considered a justified contribution to the well-being of the injured party and not a punishment for the offender. Other crimes that receive blood money are crimes against property and crimes against honour. [3] Concepts based on the Arab laws of revenge of blood and blood money are found in Islamic Sharia and are therefore observed differently in Islamic states. Once this is over, let`s discuss the quest points in more detail. If you`re curious about whether Oswald`s body is on the shore, the answer is no. Once at the bottom, you will only find Oswald`s sword stuck in the sand. Once you`ve regained control of the character, you just need to go to the main gate of the fortress as soon as possible and run to where you`ve already met your allies. Wait for your allies to accompany you and after a short conversation, the quest ends. To finish “A Triumphant Return,” you must catch Rued`s spies and take them to Oswald.
When you learn the location of the fort, light the charcoal tray once you have defeated all the enemies there. After a cutscene, escape the fort with your allies to complete the quest. Near the key you will see a hole covered with some rocks. After finding Oswald using the method described above, you`ll find him in the middle of an argument with Broder. After Brothir (yes, it gets confusing) brings spy messages, you`re quickly tasked with taking one of them. Eivor must leave the fortress as he dodges enemies to the original meeting point nearby. There, another cutscene begins, and Oswald`s death is announced. Eliminate all enemies from the fortress in every possible way.
Board the small boat at the port and reach your destination. Then, with a quick attack, knock the spy down, tie him up and take him to Oswald. Once this mission is complete, Eivor will be able to move on to the next mission called “Raising Iron” and tell Northwic about Oswald`s tragic death. Now you have to find one of the three spies who lie deep on the outskirts of East Anglia. So go to the next blue-green marker and use your raven to find the guy quickly and efficiently. This quest therefore begins in Northwic, East Anglia, at the place indicated below. There you can find Oswald with your raven and start with him. After the spy is brought to Oswald, a short cutscene will take place. Whatever choice you make here, it will not affect the outcome of the quest. The spy will be killed in one way or another. Now, head to Dunwic Fortress to meet your allies. Remember that all decisions have the same consequence, so you can choose anyway.
The entrance leads to the center of the fortress. Once you`re there, you can start eliminating the guards. With a stealth approach, you can access the fortress through the side entrance. Just walk on the cliff to the place indicated in the photo above. Get off, move the cargo and collect the skills here by interacting with the book. In traditional Germanic law, the law of the Germanic peoples (before the widespread adoption of Roman canon law) accepted that the clan of a criminal be held responsible for crimes committed by one of its members. In Nazi Germany, this concept was revived, so that relatives of individuals accused of crimes against the state, including desertion, were held accountable for these crimes. [8] [9] Kinship punishment is the practice of punishing family members of a person accused of a crime, in place of or in addition to the perpetrator.
It refers to the principle of shared responsibility of the family for a crime committed by one of its members and constitutes a form of collective punishment. Punishing relatives has been used by authoritarian states as a form of blackmail, harassment or persecution. Countries that practiced kinship punishment include pre-Christian European cultures, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and non-Western cultures such as China, Japan, and North Korea. Numerous testimonies from North Korean defectors confirm the practice of kinship punishment (연좌제, yeonjwaje literally “system of association”) in North Korea, according to which three generations of a political offender`s family can be imprisoned or executed unceremoniously. [5] This sanction is based on the internal minutes of the Workers` Party and is outside the formal legal system. [6] Relatives are not informed of the reasons why they were suspected, and the sentence extends to children born in prison. [7] The system of association was introduced with the establishment of the North Korean state in 1948, after having existed under the Joseon Kingdom. [7] [5] Twilight will come and Rued and his men will arrive at the fortress. The duel will end with a surprising result.
Oswald and Rued will fall directly into the water from the tower. However, before you check what happened to the future King of East Anglia, you need to leave Dunwic – defeat a few enemies along the way. Now that you`re done with all this, use your flashlight and turn on the charcoal tray to mark the “triumphant return of Oswald.” I`m not going to spoil it for you, but things are going to happen quite unexpectedly. However, a cutscene will take place after which you will enter the final phase of the quest. After beating him, tie him up and bring her back to Oswald. You finally meet Rued in a cutscene after setting fire to the brazier. After this cutscene, you have to escape with your allies. In reality, this only means running forward and out of the fort – you don`t even have to worry about your allies as they will meet you at the target marker. The medieval Polish Główszczyzna functioned in the same way as the Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian Wergilde. Walk towards the sea and look to the left – you should see a white cliff path.
