Well, it fulfills its purpose of entertainment. The plot is interesting and the characters stand out. Val (Al Pacino) is released from prison after serving 28 years of his sentence. Doc (Christopher Walken), his best friend, is waiting for him at the exit to visit Hirsch (Alan Arkin), another former colleague. Despite their age, the three gangsters decide to resume their lives of crime, drugs and sex the same night. However, Doc must complete an urgent task entrusted to him by the gang leader: he must kill Val in order to settle an outstanding score. The dilemma is delicate and he has little time to resolve it.
